Work Placement

What is a work placement?

A work placement is a period of supervised work and professional activity, tailored for each student so that he or she can gain a real job experience. This is also a great way to help them boost their future career by learning a new trade.

How does ETN Business Lab organise the work placement?

ETN Business Lab has a clear procedure for the research and, more importantly, monitoring of the work placement. When the work placement officer receives the CV of a student, the first step is to find a perfect match between the intern and the company and the only way to achieve this is by carefully analysing the needs of them both.

It is very important for us that the company and the student are in perfect harmony, and that is why we put a lot of effort into the process of work placement organisation.

Before the student begins the internship at the company, we make their induction as easy as possible, establishing initial contact between the two sides and introducing the intern to all the job details.

The first days tend to be the most delicate, and for this reason we mediate on topics such as schedules, uniforms, tasks and other issues that help clarify any possible doubts and establish a smooth communication.

After the first days, we stay in contact with the students and their teachers, as well as with the host company tutors, in order to check if everything works correctly and ensure that the students feel supported at every single stage of the experience.

We currently work with a wide list of sectors in which students can develop the knowledge and skills previously acquired in their countries and where they can improve and learn new techniques.
